Mandate of the Directorate
Purpose:
To support the management staff with relevant research materials, analyses of critical information and data as well as keep watch on bi-lateral codes treaties declarations for compliance by the Ministry and other Public Sector Institutions. This Directorate play a pivotal role in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency in revamping the Public Service architecture.
MAIN DUTIES/TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate the development and implementation of strategic plans and policies within the Ministry.
- Design and implement systems for evaluating the effectiveness and impact of policies, programs and project within the Ministry;
- Oversee research initiatives, ensuring the collection and analysis of relevant data to inform decision-making and policy development;
- Oversea in the Contribution to the formulation and review of policies, providing evidence-based recommendations;
- Develop and implement performance measurement frameworks to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of activities/programmes;
- Ensure the proper collection, storage, and management of data for research, policy and evaluation purposes;
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate planning, research, and evaluation into the overall functioning of the Ministry;
- Prepare comprehensive reports on planning, research findings and policy recommendations to other directorates;
- Contribute to budgeting processes by providing data-driven insights on resource allocation based on program evaluations and priorities;
- Perform any other duties within the scope and intent of the job as may be assigned from time to time.
